OVERVIEW

Eight years managing a high-volume multilingual media production operation. The role originated in audio podcast production and expanded to encompass video, studio design and buildout, infrastructure development, IT liaison work, intercultural team leadership, and cross-departmental coordination. At peak, simultaneously managing 3–4 concurrent productions with a rotating international team of 8–15 members across 8 languages.

AUDIO ENGINEERING & PRODUCTION

Engineered, edited, and mixed all productions end-to-end — full signal chain from raw recording through final delivery — across 2,000+ episodes and 3–4 concurrent multilingual productions. Platform optimization across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube was standard across all deliverables.

INFRASTRUCTURE & SYSTEMS

Inherited antiquated production infrastructure; audited and rebuilt all systems. Redesigned file and server architecture for high-volume multilingual workflows, reducing maintenance task time by 71%. Doubled or tripled production capacity within existing delivery timelines. Served as IT liaison between third-party vendors, internal IT, and the production team around media server and archival infrastructure (Facilis Technologies).

STUDIO DESIGN & MANAGEMENT

Designed full hardware and digital systems setup, including signal routing, remote access configuration, and software environment. Led complete studio buildout from the ground up. Managed ongoing studio operations, scheduling, and production calendars across concurrent projects and international team coordination.

ARCHIVAL SYSTEM DESIGN

Designed and implemented a lean media archival system managing thousands of assets across broadcast, podcast, streaming, and internal formats. Authored metadata standards and naming conventions to support a scalable, retrievable archive.

REMOTE OPERATIONS

Built SOPs and complete remote recording workflows for 8–15 non-technical international team members during the pandemic. Enabled full operational continuity across all productions. SOPs were adopted organization-wide and remained in place after direct involvement ended.

TALENT COACHING & INTERCULTURAL LEADERSHIP

Coached 8–15 international voice talent — non-native English speakers with no prior studio experience — to broadcast-ready delivery. Scope included performance direction, mic technique, pacing, and live translation overdubs. Simultaneously served as a bridge between international teams and Western corporate workplace culture, advocating for equitable treatment and providing individual coaching that enabled team members to perform at levels they would not have achieved otherwise.
